General Information About Koh Phangan Island |

The island is mainly mountainous jungle surrounded by beautiful, white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. You will not find
high-rise hotels or package resorts here and there are still many exquisite, undeveloped beaches to be explored.
Also well known for its world famous full moon party Koh Phangan brings many tourists here every year. Nearby Koh Maa and Koh
Tao present the best snorkel and dive sites in the gulf of siam, with its colorful tropical fish and soft corals.

Full Moon Party Haadrin Beach |

More than ten years ago, a group of tourists found that the
most beautiful moon was in Koh Phangan.
They arranged a party along the crescent-shaped beach of Haad
Rin to celebrate the Full Moon night. From then on, people
from all over the world came to join the celebration. And now
there are 7,000 to 10,000 people at the party each month.

Thansadet Beach & Waterfalls |

You can either relax in the ambiance of our tropical paradise
or explore some of the islands unspoilt waterfalls and beaches.
Thansadet beach - just a 5 minute walk
down the hill - is the perfect place for swimming, relaxing
and sunbathing. There's a small cave to explore just
around the corner at Thansadet beach. Next to Thansadet
beach is also a small coral reef where you can explore
the underwater world !
Thansadet literally translated means "river of visited
by Royals" and
it is the place where King Churalongkorn, The Great Rama V came to many times
to walk up the wondrous waterfalls and bath in its pools. King Prajadhipok, the
Great Rama VII also visited as has the current King Bumipol Aduldej, the Great
Rama IX. Thansadet has recently been declared a National Park due to its great
historical importance and abundant wildlife. Here one may follow the various
jungle paths up to the waterfalls and take a refreshing bath in the fascinating
natural pools.
